South Africa. Known for its breath-taking nature, tantalizing wines, and cultural diversity, but is less renowned for a BDSM scene that’s as merciless as the Boer War.
When it comes to BDSM in South Africa, there is one woman who’s rapidly becoming an icon.

It’s a pleasure and honour to sit down with you. I’m Mistress Baton – a Disciplinarian, Tour Domme, FemDom porn actress and FemDom porn producer from South Africa.
I specialize in Corporal Punishment, Roleplay and Fisting.
How did you get into the BDSM scene?
I was curious to try Corporal Punishment throughout my whole adult life and finally plucked up the courage to try it eight years ago.
The moment I gave my first cane stroke, I knew I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. I took to it like a fish to water.
What has been the most hardcore BDSM session you’ve ever been involved in?
In Corporal Punishment – many of my prison canings (judicial severity).
In CBT (cock & ball torture) – 100 needles in the testicles.
In Roleplay – prison roleplay sessions, race play sessions and extreme interrogations sessions can get very intense.
In Fisting – my hands are very big, bigger than most men’s hands, so most of my Fisting sessions feel very hardcore for the recipients.
I understand you were mentored by various specialist punishers, including a SA Correctional Services caner and a SAPS caner. Could you tell us a little more about this?
Yes. I had caning lessons from a Captain in the South African Police, who used to be a Police Caner pre-1995 when judicial corporal punishment was still practised in South Africa.
I also had online lessons from a former South African prison guard who used to be a prison Caner pre-1995.
What traits do you like and dislike in a sub?
Clients – my service offering is quite narrow. I only offer strictly CFNM sessions centred around Corporal Punishment and Roleplay.
Extra services I offer are Fisting, foot worship and CBT. So clients need to be compatible with me and have realistic expectations, else I don’t see them.
My main expectations are that clients have compatible fetishes and that they adhere to formal BDSM protocol.

My stable (my personal subs and slaves) – I only consider people who live near me (South Africans in Johannesburg and surrounds), whose personalities I like and who are into impact play (hardcore corporal punishment).
My filming stable (people I film content with) – hardcore fisting recipients and impact play recipients are the only people I consider for my filming stable.
From historical themes to incredible roleplaying, your adult content is unique. Where do you get your ideas for your content?
Thanks for the compliment. I completely disregard popular themes and fads when deciding what I want to film and only focus on scenarios and themes I’m interested in.
By doing it this way, my clips remain unique and original. I am inspired by the following:
Most people I meet (in the vanilla world and the BDSM world) tell me anecdotes about corporal punishment they’ve received in their lives, at school, at home, or elsewhere.
This inspires me and gives me lots of content ideas. For example, I once sat next to a game farm owner from the neighbouring country Botswana on a 16-hour flight.
He told me that their headmaster at school used to warn them before every cane stroke by tapping the ceiling twice with the cane and then giving them the cane stroke. I’ve done this in several school roleplay clips of mine.
Another example is that a friend of mine told me at a dinner party once that one of his school teachers used to beat them with a fishing rod, and I shot a clip named “When A Rod Is Not A Cane”, beating two subs recently, where I used a fishing rod.
Vanilla Media (films and books) remain a significant source of ideas. I am an avid reader, and I’m inspired by many scenarios I read in books and things I see in films and documentaries.
My own brain remains the best source of ideas, and I have a good imagination as well as a good friend of mine in Canada, who sends me a lot of ideas and scripts.
What advice would you give to a sub about attending their first caning session?
Research the Caner well, whether it is a BDSM professional or not, to determine compatibility. Make sure they have a good reputation and are skilled, ethical and sober.
Look at reviews of their work or speak to people they’ve caned before. Make sure they know your limits and preferences and make sure that they will adhere to them.
Could you tell us more about the BDSM scene in South Africa? Is it common, are there many fetish clubs, and is it easy to find like-minded kinksters?
There is a robust scene in South Africa with many kinksters. There aren’t many BDSM professionals in South Africa, though.
There are several monthly parties and events, which can be found on events pages on Fetlife if searching by region/city/province.
Do you have any exciting fetish plans/new content in the near future?
I’m constantly filming new content, around ten clips per month, but sometimes more, which can be found on my clip stores (Clips4Sale, Loverfans and ManyVids). I tour often.
